Mr. Johnson is a retired US attorney and consults on intellectual property (IP) matters from a strategic perspective. He is currently a Lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business primarily teaching courses to MBA students on how IP fits into business strategies and on technology licensing. Previously, Mr. Johnson was a senior partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and a founder of its New York and San Francisco offices. In addition, Mr. Johnson is a published author, and his book, The Economist Guide to Intellectual Property, was published during 2015. He received his BA and MA in Genetics at Cambridge University and his law degrees from College of Law, London, England and the IIT Chicago Kent College of Law in Chicago.
