Luca Rinaldi is an Energy Storage Engineer at Sonnedix, responsible for assessing the economic feasibility and technical performance of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the renewable energy sector. Previously, Luca worked at Vertiv as a Market Development and Technology Application Engineer, conducting techno-economic analyses and researching innovative BESS solutions. Earlier roles include Product Development Engineer at Vertiv, focusing on product development within a technical talent program, and an internship at Universitat Politècnica de València analyzing residential photovoltaic plants with electrical storage. Luca began their career as a Lighting Technician and Designer and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, followed by multiple advanced degrees in the same field from prestigious institutions.
