Steven Lavoie

Steven Lavoie has an extensive background in library services, currently serving as a Field Interviewer at RTI International and an Extra Help Librarian II at Sonoma County Library. Previously, Steven held the position of Senior Librarian at Oakland Public Library, where responsibilities included supervising various collections and participating in labor-management activities. With a rich history in library management, Steven also served as a head librarian and branch manager across multiple branches of Oakland Public Library. Additional contributions include leadership roles with the Pacific Center for the Book Arts and Oakland Heritage Alliance, as well as editorial and writing positions at the Oakland Tribune and Marin Independent Journal. Steven holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
