Alexander Boyle has diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Alexander began their career as a Resource Technical Assistant at Disney's ImageMovers in 2008 before transitioning to a Production Engineer role at ImageMovers Digital in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Production Assistant and Technical Assistant at StereoD LLC.
Alexander then joined Disneytoon Studios in 2011, where they served as an Asset Management Systems Programmer and later as a Software Engineer. During their tenure at Disneytoon Studios, they played a crucial role in migrating the entire pipeline from Windows to Linux, collaborating with production and implementing various pipeline components. Alexander'swork involved integrating shotgun tools, developing production environment tools, and facilitating digital asset shipping and packaging exports/imports.
In 2017, Alexander joined Digital Domain 3.0 as a DevOps Engineer. Alexander was responsible for creating and developing a colocation project using Ansible, Python, Docker, and Vagrant. Alexander also established long-term system solutions for future product implementations, including testing and continuous integration deployments using Test-Kitchen and Vagrant.
After their time at Digital Domain, Alexander worked at Apex Systems as a DevOps and Pipeline Engineer, where they transformed a previously-implemented pipeline into a centralized build library with decentralized project-level configurations. Alexander successfully migrated all projects to utilize the shared pipeline and set up a Jenkins instance with Windows and OSX agents for virtualizing project builds, tests, and releases. Additionally, they integrated the pipeline with Nike-hosted Artifactory and QMA services for publishing Docker images, python libraries, and tracking project testing stats.
Before their current position as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Sony Interactive Entertainment since 2022, Alexander worked at Apex Systems as a DevOps Engineer. There, they upgraded a data batch-processing system using a vagrant EC2 deployment Jenkins pipeline, integrated logging to Splunk for faster debugging and dashboard analysis, and established a dev deployment pipeline for validation before production deployment.
Throughout their career, Alexander Boyle has consistently demonstrated expertise in DevOps, pipeline development, infrastructure deployment, and system solutions.
Alexander Boyle has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Visual and Game Programming from The Art Institute of California - San Francisco. Alexander attended the institution from 2004 to 2007. In 2015, they pursued a Master's in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Software Engineering at National University, completing their studies in 2017.
In addition to their formal education, Alexander has obtained several certifications.
