Shu-Fen Lin has a solid background in software engineering, primarily working at Sony companies. Shu-Fen began their career at Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2009 as a Java Software Engineer. Shu-Fen then moved to Sony DADC in 2012, where they worked as a Senior Java Engineer, focusing on Blu-ray Authoring. During their time at Sony DADC, they improved disc performance, optimized production flow, and developed a framework and tools to expedite Blu-ray titles. In 2016, Shu-Fen Lin joined Sony Interactive Entertainment as a Senior Software Engineer. Shu-Fen later transitioned to the role of Staff Software Engineer, where they had a range of responsibilities. These included media experience on the PS5, analyzing and optimizing system application load times, leading front-end feature developments, and reducing image costs while maintaining user experience and performance. Shu-Fen also took ownership of new mechanisms to optimize system and application performance, reduce system and network usage, and improve overall user experiences.

Shu-Fen Lin received their Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California in 2008.
