Valentin Grand has a diverse work experience background. Valentin started their career as a Language Intern at Honke Bankyu Ryokan in 2012, where they focused on improving their Japanese language skills. In 2013, Valentin worked as a Junior Consultant Intern at Euler Hermes, where they were involved in project management tasks.
In 2014, Valentin began their MSc Research Project at Imperial College London, where they conducted a thesis on Hidden Markov Models and virtual currencies. Valentin designed and implemented a HMM framework using Matlab to forecast trends in virtual currencies.
Following their research project, Valentin joined Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2014 as a Data Scientist in the Business Intelligence Services team. Valentin continued to grow within the company, taking on the role of Senior Data Scientist in 2021. In this position, they helped expand the analysis team from 3 to approximately 10 members, split between the UK and the US. Valentin provided onboarding, mentoring, and technical support to the team, while also supporting studios in a leadership capacity for their data needs.
In 2022, Valentin became an Analytics Manager at Sony Interactive Entertainment. Valentin'sresponsibilities in this role include leading the analysis team, organizing and conducting regular calls with studios to gather requirements, and delivering results to them. Valentin is also currently supporting the launch of the PS5 and its lineup with limited resources.
