Serkan Eryilmaz

Serkan Eryilmaz is a highly experienced data scientist with a strong focus on machine learning and human sensing technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Sony R&D in the Brussels Lab since November 2015, Eryilmaz contributes to the development of next-generation products by designing research and smart algorithms. Prior to this role, Eryilmaz worked as a Senior R&D Engineer at VITO, specializing in Big Data and developing tools for a Hadoop Platform as a Service. Additionally, Eryilmaz has experience as a Data Scientist at Trasys, providing consultancy for analytics projects, and as a lead developer of a predictive maintenance project for Brussels Airport. Earlier career experience includes work as an NLP R&D Engineer at EarlyTracks, focusing on product development and information retrieval. Eryilmaz holds an MSc in Computer Science from Université de Namur and a BSc in Computer Science from Université libre de Bruxelles.
