Vaishnavi Sundaresan has over 10 years of professional experience in the fields of impact management, sustainability, auditing, and socio-cultural organization. In 2021, they began their role as Impact Management Lead at SoPact, where they lead strategic advisory taking clients from conception to an end-to-end impact management program. In 2020, they were a Sustainability Research Analyst at EcoModels Agency. In 2019, they were a Sustainability Consultant. From 2011 to 2019, they worked at Ernst & Young, where they held roles as Senior Auditor and Team Lead. In 2010, they were an Intern at InGovern. In 2008, they were an Intern at Srinaga & Giridhar Associates. In 2006, they were a Co-founder at Samruddhi, a socio-cultural organization formed to empower youth with a specific focus on environmental awareness.

Vaishnavi Sundaresan completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Finance, General at St. Joseph's College of Commerce, Bangalore from 2008 to 2011. In 2020, they obtained an Introduction to Sustainable Finance from The One UN Climate Change Learning Partnership in Sustainability Studies.
