Adrian Willig

Adrian Willig has a diverse work experience in various scientific roles. Adrian started their career at the University of Geneva, where they worked as a Research Associate from September 2010 to March 2011. Prior to this, they served as an Assistant at the university from September 2004 to August 2010. Adrian then worked as a Clinical Scientist at IHI Bagamoyo from April 2011 to December 2011. After that, they joined Philip Morris International as a Scientist in August 2012 for a brief period until November 2012. Adrian currently holds a position at SOPHiA GENETICS, where they have worked in multiple roles. Adrian started as an NGS Expert Scientist from November 2014 to October 2016. Adrian then served as an Associate Head of the NGS Lab from November 2016 to September 2019. Currently, Adrian holds the position of Director Genomic Research at SOPHiA GENETICS, starting in September 2019.

Adrian Willig has a strong educational background in the field of Molecular Biology. Adrian earned their PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Geneva, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Prior to their PhD, Adrian completed their MSc in Molecular Biology at the University of Geneva from 1999 to 2004.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Adrian Willig also holds certifications in other areas. In 2011, they obtained a certification in Basic Good Clinical Practice from AMANET. Furthermore, in 2013, Adrian obtained a certification in International Project Management Association Level D from VZPM. These certifications showcase their knowledge and expertise in project management and clinical practices, complementing their scientific education.
