Leonard Sim

Leonard Sim has extensive work experience in the field of sales engineering and pre-sales management. Leonard is currently the Head of Sales Engineering, ASEAN at Sophos, where they manage the ASEAN Sales/Solution Engineering team. Their responsibilities include driving technical wins, promoting cybersecurity services, and revitalizing sales of network security solutions in the region.

Prior to their role at Sophos, Leonard was the Head of Solutions Engineering, APAC at Datto, Inc, where they played a key role in building and growing the team. Leonard also served as the Head of Presales, APAC at Kaspersky, overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day activities of the presales teams across the Asia Pacific region.

Leonard has also held positions at Proofpoint, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, and Symantec, where they worked in various sales engineering and presales leadership roles, supporting channels, inside sales, and renewals businesses in the APAC region.

Before transitioning to the cybersecurity industry, Leonard worked as a Technical Consultant at Trend Micro and an IT Specialist at Nanyang Technological University.

Throughout their career, Leonard has demonstrated a strong track record of driving business growth, leading teams, and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

Leonard Sim received a Diploma with Merit in Information Technology (Software Technology) from Temasek Polytechnic in 1996. From 1998 to 2001, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
