Michelle Burnett

Michelle Burnett has extensive work experience in various finance and management roles. Michelle is currently serving as the Executive Director/CEO at Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Operating and Financial Officer at the same organization.

Before joining Soroptimist International, Michelle worked as the CFO at Turning Points for Children for five years. Michelle also served as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer - Comptroller at the Philadelphia Housing Authority for a year.

Michelle's experience in finance and administration dates back to their role as the Director of Finance and Administration at the South Carolina HIV/AIDS Council, where they worked for over a decade.

In addition, Michelle has experience as the Managing Partner at The Small Business Professionals, LLC and as the Internal Audit Manager at the Redevelopment Authority - City of Philadelphia. Michelle'swork at these organizations contributed to their well-rounded expertise in financial management and leadership.

Michelle Burnett is currently pursuing a Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree at Liberty University, with an expected completion date in 2023. Prior to this, Michelle obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from Eastern University. In 2019, they earned a Post Graduation Certificate in Non-Profit Executive Leadership from Bryn Mawr College. Michelle also has a Post Grad Certificate in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Cornell University Graduate School. Michelle'seducational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Temple University. Furthermore, Michelle holds a Certificate in US Government Contracting Officer, which they acquired during their time in the United States Navy.
