Sue Ellen Mwendwa

Sue Ellen Mwendwa has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2010 when they worked as a Customer Service Officer at Equity Bank Limited. In 2011, they took on a role as a Writer and Mentor at Child Africa Media, and in 2012 they became a Business Writer at Africa Corporate Social Responsibility Daily. In 2014, they worked as a Logistics Co-ordinator for the Kenya Future Leaders Program and as a Social Media Lead for The Journey Village, University of Nairobi. From 2015 to 2020, Sue Ellen worked at Unilever, where they held various roles including Unilever East Africa Marketing Budget Lead and Foods Category Finance Partner, Assistant Financial Accountant, Personal Care Category Finance Partner, and Sales Manager. In 2020, they took on the role of Head of Finance at Sote, where they deployed the company's first accounting ERP system, built an internal finance team, oversaw the preparation of financial statements and reports, and more.

Sue Ellen Mwendwa is currently enrolled at the CFA Institute, where they are studying Finance and Financial Management Services. Prior to this, they obtained a Bsc Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi between 2011 and 2015. Sue Ellen has also obtained two certifications: CFA Level 2 Passed from the CFA Institute in October 2022, and CFA Level 1 Passed from the CFA Institute.
