Paul Ihme

Paul Ihme has a diverse work experience in the field of security solutions and advisory. Paul co-founded and is currently the Managing Principal at Soteria - Security Solutions & Advisory, a company they joined in September 2015. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Vice President - Active Network Defense Lead at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from March 2015 to August 2015. Before that, they were a Network Exploitation Analyst at Visionist, Inc. from June 2013 to March 2015. Paul also has experience as a Computer Security Incident Response Center Analyst (Part-time) at NetSage from January 2012 to July 2013. Additionally, they served in the United States Air Force, starting as a Computer Programmer from September 2003 to April 2009 and later transitioning to a Cyber Warfare Operator from May 2009 to June 2013. Most recently, Paul worked as a Subject Matter Expert - Professional Development Institute at (ISC)² from June 2019 to December 2020.

Paul Ihme holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Offensive Computer Security from Eastern Michigan University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2009 to 2013.

Additionally, Paul has obtained certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in September 2011 and the GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) from GIAC in October 2014.

Furthermore, Paul has completed an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Cyber Security from the Community College of the Air Force, although the exact start and end dates are not provided. Paul had also previously earned another AAS degree in Communications Technology from the same institution, which they completed before 2005.
