Michael Calvi

Instructor, Talent Development Leader, History-brand-hospitality Leader at SoulCycle

Michael Calvi has had a diverse range of work experiences. Michael started as an Intern at HDR in 2012 before moving on to become a Designer 1 at Paulus, Sokolowski and Sartor (PS&S). During their time at PS&S, they participated in all phases of design and construction administration for mixed-use development projects.

Michael then worked as a Fine Art Photographer at URBAN STUDIO UNBOUND INC and as a Cycling Instructor at LA Fitness. In 2016, they also became a Member of the Contemporaries Council at the Hudson River Museum, where they assisted with event planning and marketing.

From 2016 to 2018, Michael Calvi worked at SoulCycle Inc., where they held multiple roles such as Instructor, Talent Development Leader, History-Brand-Hospitality Leader, Coordinator, Brand Ambassador, and Instructor. Michael'sresponsibilities included teaching the Soul Cycle Method to instructors and members, building community through local outreach and business partnerships, and leading team-building programs.

In 2017, they became a Mentor at the ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY, advising high school students in architecture and engineering careers. Michael also briefly worked as a Spinning Instructor at the New York Athletic Club.

More recently, Michael Calvi joined PS&S as a Project Designer in 2023. Additionally, they have become a member of the City of Yonkers Landmarks Preservation Board, where they contribute to the protection and preservation of Yonkers' architectural, historical, and cultural resources by reviewing nominations of landmarks and issuing approvals for historic districts.

Overall, Michael Calvi has gained experience in various fields, including architecture, fitness instruction, photography, event planning, and community engagement.

Michael Calvi attended Pratt Institute from 2011 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree, with a focus on Architecture.
