John Olson

John Olson is an experienced Addiction Medicine Specialist at Sound since April 2019, where responsibilities include providing rapid-access, low-barrier Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder. Previously, John served as the Primary Care Medical Director, focusing on integrating primary care with behavioral health and case management services to enhance outcomes for vulnerable populations. John also implemented a grant-supported medication-assisted treatment program for homeless IV drug users and exchange sex workers. As a Float Physician at HealthPoint (CHC), John provided direct patient care and compared organizational designs. From January 2009 to March 2019, John practiced broad-spectrum primary care at Neighborcare Health, designing a successful hepatitis C treatment program. John's educational background includes a Master's degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Washington, a Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Arts in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
