Gunther Stein

Gunther Stein has significant experience in the investment management industry. Gunther currently holds the position of Head and Chief Investment Officer of U.S. Performing Credit at Sound Point Capital Management, LP since June 2023. Previously, they have served as Chairman at Symphony Asset Management for a short period in 2018. Gunther has also held the roles of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer, Director of Fixed Income Strategies, and Portfolio Manager during their tenure at Symphony Asset Management from 1999 to 2018. Prior to that, Gunther worked at Wells Fargo as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager from 1993 to 1999.

Gunther Stein received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1993. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics at the University of California, Berkeley in 1986.
