Konstantin Clemens

Konstantin Clemens has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Konstantin 💡 started their career at Freie Universität Berlin as a Teaching Assistant, where they created assignments, prepared students for exams, and graded examinations. Konstantin then joined Siemens Corporate Research, Inc. as a Research Assistant, where they prototyped a tool for evaluating and visualizing email error reports.

Their next role was at HERE, where they initially worked as a Software Engineer, designing data models and APIs, and improving data performance. Later, they became an Engineering Manager, leading teams of software engineers and data scientists across two continents. In this role, they defined metrics for measuring data and algorithmic impact and established data-driven approaches for statistical analysis.

Most recently, Konstantin joined SoundHound Inc. as an Engineering Site Director, where they built a new engineering site from scratch, interviewed and hired various professionals, and shaped the organization's vision and roadmap.

Konstantin 💡 Clemens earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science from Technische Universität Berlin, completing their studies from 2012 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Computer Science degree in Distributed computing and Telematics from Freie Universität Berlin, which they pursued from 2000 to 2008. As part of their education, they also participated in the Erasmus Exchange Programme at the University of Vienna in 2005, focusing on Computer Science.
