David Ritchie

David Ritchie is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and instructional design. Currently serving as the Senior Training and Instructional Design Manager at SoundThinking since August 2023, Ritchie previously held various roles at the Harris County Sheriff's Office since 1991, including Police Sergeant and Law Enforcement Instructor. In these capacities, Ritchie oversees the Technical Operations Unit, managing technical investigative functions and the ShotSpotter Gunshot Detection system. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Security Specialist in the United States Air Force from 1986 to 1991, where Ritchie excelled in multiple security roles. Ritchie holds degrees from the Community College of the Air Force and the University of Houston-Downtown.
