Kurt James Werner

Kurt James Werner is a seasoned professional in audio research and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Soundtoys since November 2022. Prior to this role, Kurt held the position of Research Engineer at iZotope, Inc. from October 2019 to June 2022, and worked as a Lecturer in Audio at Queen's University Belfast from January 2017 to August 2019. Kurt's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer-Based Music Theory and Acoustics from Stanford University, where teaching assistantship involved courses like Signal Processing Models in Musical Acoustics. Additionally, Kurt served as an instructor for the Stanford Youth Orchestra, teaching high school students about Acoustic Science.
