Wouter Overbeek has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Wouter is currently employed as a Software Engineer at Source.ag since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at CarNext.com from 2018 to 2022, where they held positions such as Data Engineer, Jr. Data Engineer, and Data Scientist. During their time at CarNext.com, they were enrolled in the Analytics Academy program of MI Company and contributed to the development of models and infrastructure for predicting car prices.
Before their tenure at CarNext.com, Wouter worked as a Trainee Process Engineer at Shell from 2016 to 2018, and as a Manufacturing Associate at Johnson & Johnson in 2015. Wouter also has experience in research and intern roles, including a graduation research intern position at TU Delft in 2014, where they worked on biotechnological production of bioplastics. Wouter also served as a Process Technology intern at Shell/Paqell in 2014, where they developed a model for the Thiopaq process for sulfur removal from natural gas.
Additionally, Wouter has worked as a Head Teacher at Lyceo in 2014, an intern at Shell/NAM in 2013, and as a member of the Faculty Council at Leiden University in 2012. Their research internship at TU Delft in 2012 resulted in their bachelor thesis, focusing on characterizing transporters in S. cerevisiae at the Industrial Microbiology group.
Wouter Overbeek has a diverse education history. Wouter obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Biochemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, with a study duration from 2013 to 2015. In the same year, they also pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Chemical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, completing it in 2013.
Prior to their master's degrees, Wouter completed a Bachelor's degree in Life Science and Technology from Delft University of Technology, studying from 2009 to 2012. Before entering university, they attended Christelijk Lyceum Apeldoorn from 2003 to 2009, where they focused on Natural Sciences and Latin.
