Yanmei Yao

Yanmei Yao has extensive experience in purchasing and supply chain management, currently serving as Purchasing Manager at Source Direct Imports since June 2015. In this role, Yanmei oversees the entire purchasing process, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication with customers, while also fostering staff development. Previous positions include Buyer/Inventory Specialist at Yiwei Machinery Co. Ltd., where Yanmei enhanced machine performance by 300% and optimized inventory management, and Buyer/Planner at Sensata Technologies, where strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management were key responsibilities. Yanmei holds a Master’s degree in Operations Management from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Zhejiang University.
