Shawn Furlong

Shawn Furlong, CRSP has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Shawn began their career in 1999 as a Mudlogging Geologist at Geoservices before moving on to Halliburton in 2000, where they worked as a Data Engineer. In 2003, they worked as an English Teacher in Korea at a Private School. From 2005 to 2015, Shawn held multiple roles at Schlumberger, including HSE Manager in different departments and regions. In 2015, they joined Penn West as a Health and Safety Manager / Corporate Safety Advisor. Currently, Shawn is working at Source Energy Services, where they have held various positions since 2016, including Director of Health, Safety, and Environment, Vice President of Health, Safety, and Environment, and currently, as the President of Production.

Shawn Furlong, CRSP, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Science / Geology from Memorial University of Newfoundland from 1993 to 1998. Shawn further pursued their education by obtaining a Post Grad Advanced Diploma in Safety Engineering Technology from the College of the North Atlantic in the year 2004 to 2005. Additionally, Shawn Furlong obtained the certification of Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) from the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals in June 2012.
