Chris Reed

Chris Reed, PE has more than a decade of work experience. Chris is currently the Director of Engineering at SOURCE Global, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Mechanical Engineer at the same company from June 2017 to June 2023. Before joining SOURCE Global, Chris worked as an Engineer - Tracker Technology at First Solar from July 2015 to June 2017. Chris also held the position of Sales Engineer at Logan Corporation from August 2014 to June 2015, and as an Engineering Services Representative at ESCO Corporation from August 2013 to August 2014. Chris started their career as a Mechanical Engineer III at Newmont Corporation, where they worked from September 2009 to August 2013. Chris also gained valuable experience as an Engineer Aide at USDA-ARS-Water Management Research from May 2007 to August 2009. Furthermore, Chris had internships at Wolf Robotics as an Assembly Tech Intern from November 2008 to April 2009, and at NASA Space Grant as a DemoSat Intern from May 2008 to July 2008.

Chris Reed, PE received their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University in 2009. Prior to that, they attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2003 to 2006, where they pursued an Open Option field of study. In addition to their education, Chris obtained their Professional Engineer certification from the State of Arizona Board of Technical Registration in 2016 and became a Private Pilot certified by the Federal Aviation Administration in 2013.
