Conrad van Gass

Conrad van Gass is a seasoned professional in the field of economic development, currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow at the South African Institute of International Affairs since May 2021, focusing on African economic development issues. With a robust academic background, including a Master of Commerce in Applied Development Economics from the University of Cape Town, Conrad has accumulated extensive experience in various roles, such as Program Manager for Budget Analysis at the Financial and Fiscal Commission, and Policy Analyst at the Development Bank of Southern Africa. Prior positions include Manager of Policy and Research at eThekwini Municipality, Economic Planner at Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick, and Research Officer at the Built Environment Support Group.
