Khomotso Sam Motsepe is an experienced engineer currently serving as the Senior Engineer for Spectrum Licensing at the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory since August 2023. Responsibilities include protecting astronomy advantage areas crucial for South Africa's strategic investments in radio astronomy, particularly for the MeerKAT and SKA projects, as well as implementing systems for the characterization of radio frequency transmissions and preparing compliance assessment reports in line with the Astronomy Geographic Advantage Act. Prior to this role, Khomotso worked as a Radio Frequency Specialist at ICASA from September 2014 to August 2023, held positions in radio network planning and transmission planning at Saab Grintek Technologies, Plessey, and Telkom, with experience dating back to 2005. Khomotso holds a Master of Philosophy in Engineering Management and an Engineer's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Johannesburg and the University of South Africa.
