Mike Newall

Mike Newall has extensive experience in local government, currently serving as Chief Executive of South Ayrshire Council since March 2009, where responsibilities include corporate planning, community planning, and emergency response leadership during the Covid-19 crisis. Previously held positions include Depute Chief Executive and Director of Housing, as well as various managerial roles in South Ayrshire and other councils, focusing on strategic planning, service delivery in transportation and neighbourhood services, and transformational change. Prior experience at CALA Group Limited involved delivering complex building projects and infrastructure planning, alongside earlier engineering roles at East Dunbartonshire and Strathclyde Regional Councils.
