Julian Simmonds currently serves as a Board Member at South Bank Corporation since January 2024. Previously, Simmonds was the General Manager for Property and Investments at Stanbroke from June 2022 to April 2024, focusing on diverse investment strategies and property management. From 2019 to May 2022, Simmonds represented the Ryan electorate as a Federal Member in the Australian Parliament and chaired the Joint Standing Committee for Law Enforcement. Simmonds also co-founded the Parliamentary Friends of the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation. Prior experience includes serving as a Councillor for Walter Taylor Ward on Brisbane City Council from 2010 to 2019, where Simmonds held multiple leadership roles, including Chairman for City Planning and Finance. An alumnus of The University of Queensland, Simmonds holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government and a Master of Journalism.
