Sydney Derrick

Sydney Derrick is an experienced librarian currently employed at the South Carolina Historical Society since June 2022. Previously, Sydney worked as a Project Archivist at the Avery Research Center and as a Communication & Wellness Director at 843 Benefits and Health Marketplace. Additional roles include Metadata & Research Associate at the Avery Research Center, Digital Archive Intern at the Lowcountry Digital Library, Copywriter at MVP Group International, Inc., Marketing Manager at EDENS, Membership Manager at the South Carolina State Museum, and a Multi-Media Journalist and Assignment Editor at WLTX-TV. Sydney holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science & Communications from the College of Charleston.
