Student Nurse Practitioner at SOUTH END COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER INC

Max Stern is an experienced nursing professional with a strong background in psychiatric and mental health care. Currently serving as a Student Nurse Practitioner at South End Community Health Center since September 2020, Max manages psychotropic regimens for patients with complex needs and conducts assessments and interventions for integrated behavioral health. Max's tenure at McLean Hospital since May 2019 includes roles as a Registered Nurse advocating for patients experiencing acute suicidality and as a Mental Health Specialist performing daily patient assessments. Previous roles include conducting psychiatric evaluations at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless, supporting formerly homeless individuals at Step By Step, Inc., and extensive research and clinical experience in psychology and nursing. Max holds a Master of Science in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from MGH Institute of Health Professions, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University.
