John Atherton

John Atherton is an experienced healthcare leader currently serving as the Director of Mental Health Transformation for South West London Health and Care Partnership since June 2020. Prior to this role, John held various positions including Acting Director of Commissioning and Director of Performance Improvement at Wandsworth CCG, and Deputy Chief Officer at Richmond CCG. John's extensive background also includes leadership roles in NHS England, East London NHS Foundation Trust, NHS London, and West London NHS Trust, alongside participation in the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme. John holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor's degree in History from The University of Manchester.
