Nick Paling

Nick Paling is an experienced professional in stakeholder engagement and environmental management, currently serving as Stakeholder Engagement & Nature Based Solutions at South West Water since April 2022. In this role, Nick is responsible for strategic planning and coordination of stakeholder engagement, focusing on environmental initiatives. Previously, Nick held positions such as Stakeholder Engagement Manager at South West Water, Head of Evidence & Engagement at Westcountry Rivers Trust, and Principal Officer for GIS at the Environment Agency. With a strong background in applied environmental science and strategic data, Nick has also contributed as a Teaching Associate in Zoology and Applied Ecology at the University of Reading and as a Research Associate at the University of Bath. Nick's academic credentials include a PhD in Molecular Immunology and an MSc in Wildlife Management & Conservation, along with advanced marketing qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
