Prior to this, they worked at San Juan Regional Medical Center, where they held multiple roles including Director of Quality & Patient Safety, Manager of Organizational Excellence, and Project Manager of Performance Excellence. Before joining the medical center, Lara worked at BHP Billiton as a Superintendent of Risk & Governance, Engineer of Analysis & Improvement, and Specialist in Risk. Lara began their career at the City of Farmington as a Manager of Customer Care.

Lara C. holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from UNM Anderson School of Management. Lara also has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from The University of New Mexico. Additionally, Lara has obtained a Certificate in Strategic Decision & Risk Management from Stanford University.
