Senior Visitor Experience Manager at Southbank Centre

Beth Lovell has a diverse work experience in the cultural and public service sectors. Beth has worked at Southbank Centre since 2011, where they have held various positions. Currently, they are the Senior Visitor Experience Manager, overseeing visitor safety and compliance with the health and safety policy. Prior to this, Beth was a Visitor Experience Duty Manager, responsible for the planning and reopening of the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room. Beth ensured the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors in the venue. Beth also worked as an Assistant Duty Manager, managing a team of Visitor Experience hosts and conducting regular evacuation drills.

In 2017, Beth worked as a freelancer, creating an operating model and rota planning for four different cultural sites. Earlier in their career, they volunteered as a Cadet Instructor for the London Fire Brigade. Before joining the Southbank Centre, they were a Visitor Services Team Leader at the Science Museum Group. In this role, they were responsible for planning staff rotas and ensuring smooth operations at various attractions. Beth also trained new staff members on standard operating procedures and evacuation procedures.

Beth Lovell attended Thames Valley University from 2005 to 2008 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in media arts with a focus on photography and digital imaging. In addition, they acquired the Adult MHFA 2 Day Course certification from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England in February 2017.
