Omar S.

Omar S. has extensive experience in performance improvement and healthcare administration. Omar is currently working as the Executive Director of Performance Improvement in Primary Care and Population Health at Southcoast Health, where they focus on operational excellence and the transition to value-based care models. Previously, they served as the Vice President of Performance Improvement at North Shore Community Health, overseeing various departments and helping achieve strategic goals. Omar also worked as the Director of the Department of Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital, responsible for administrative operations in Primary Care. Prior to that, they held positions at Cambridge Health Alliance, MinuteClinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, Applied Value, and Arthur D. Little. Their roles included directing performance improvement, serving as a consultant, and leading the EMR Workflow Engineering Group.

Omar S. has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Universidad de Puerto Rico, which they obtained from 1988 to 1993. Omar then pursued a Master's degree in Operations Research from the University of Minnesota, completing it from 1994 to 1996. In 1999 to 2001, they pursued Business Administration and Management, General, earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Dartmouth College. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they obtained an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Bunker Hill CC. Lastly, they attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2013 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nursing Science.
