Tim Cockrell has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in behavioral health and hospital administration. Tim is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Southeast Behavioral Hospital, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to that, they served as the System Director of Behavioral Health at Appalachian Regional Healthcare from 2018. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as an Administrator at Crossbridge Behavioral Health, where they were responsible for the operations of a psychiatric hospital and Partial Hospitalization Program. Before that, they served as the Executive Director at Physicians Regional Medical Center from 2013 to 2016, overseeing various departments and significantly increasing home health visits. Tim also has experience as the Chief Executive Officer at Patients' Choice Medical Center from 2009 to 2013, where they successfully reduced expenses and developed governing boards. Earlier in their career, they held roles at Central Mississippi Medical Center, including Associate Chief Nursing Officer and Patient Safety Officer, and Director of Behavioral Health Services. Tim achieved various accomplishments such as reducing agency usage and designing and implementing a behavioral health unit/program.
Tim Cockrell has an Associate's degree in Nursing from Meridian Community College. Tim also holds a Master's degree in Health Services Administration (MHSA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing, both from Mississippi College.
