Kassandra Mason, LMFT has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Kassandra currently works as the Director of Behavioral Health at Southern Indian Health Council, Inc. Here, they provide clinical and administrative supervision for clinical staff, develops and implements clinical trainings, and supports evidence-based practices.
Prior to this, Kassandra worked as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Psychiatric Centers at San Diego, where they provided therapeutic services to individuals, couples, groups, and families, and helped clients recognize their behavior patterns in relationship issues.
Kassandra also has experience as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Alvarado Parkway Institute, where they conducted assessments and interviews with patients and families, offered support and information, and served as a case manager. Additionally, they worked as a Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling Trainee, providing tailored treatment for psychiatric and addictive disorders.
Before entering the mental health field, Kassandra worked as a Student Records Coordinator and Military Admissions Counselor at Ashford University, handling student records and advising prospective students on admissions requirements. Kassandra began their career in the US Army as an Intelligence Analyst, responsible for security clearances and classified materials, and later served as a Unit Supply Specialist, managing equipment and logistical operations.
Overall, Kassandra has gained extensive experience in clinical supervision, therapy, counseling, and administrative roles throughout their career.
Kassandra Mason, LMFT, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, where they attended from 2010 to 2012. Kassandra then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at National University, completing their studies from 2012 to 2015. Kassandra has also obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In June 2017, they became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, certified by the Board of Behavioral Sciences. That same month, they also received the QPR Gatekeeper certification from the QPR Institute. In February 2021, Kassandra became a Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist through Evergreen Certifications and also obtained the Mental Health First Aid Instructor certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health. Most recently, in October 2021, Kassandra achieved the EMDR Certified Therapist certification from EMDRIA and became a Certified Specialist in Anger Management, also granted by Evergreen Certifications.
