Alana Burns currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Southern New Hampshire University. Alana has over twenty years of experience in marketing and branding, with a focus on strategic initiatives.
Prior to their current role, Alana served as the National Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Marketing & Branding for the American Lung Association. In this role, they led a nationwide team responsible for increasing the organization's ability to deliver on its mission through vision, strategy, implementation, and measurement of programs. Under Alana's leadership, the team was successful in increasing the organization's relevance to a broader audience, securing new corporate partnerships, driving individual fundraising efforts, and creating positive health impacts and outcomes.
LUNG FORCE, one of the American Lung Association's key initiatives, was created during Alana's tenure as National Senior Vice President. LUNG FORCE is a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about lung cancer risks in women and to engage more people in the fight against this disease. The campaign has been successful in attracting corporate sponsors, engaged influential media outlets, and secured celebrity talent to help promote the cause.

Alana Burns has a MBA in International Business from Marymount University and a BS in Management with a concentration in marketing from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - The Lally School of Management.
