Sarah-Jayne McCurrach

Sarah-Jayne McCurrach has a diverse work experience in risk reduction and resilience. Sarah-Jayne is currently working at Toka Tū Ake EQC as the Head of Risk Reduction & Resilience. Prior to this role, they worked as the Manager, Risk Reduction and Resilience at the same company. Sarah-Jayne also has experience working at UNESCO - Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission as a Working Group Co-Chair/Chair for Understanding Tsunami Risk/PTWS Key Performance Indicators. Additionally, they served as a PhD Co-Supervisor for Earthquake and Tsunami Early Warning at Victoria University of Wellington. Sarah-Jayne also worked at The Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management as the Team Leader Hazard Risk Management and at Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd as the Manager, Underground Hazards. Sarah-Jayne started their career as a Geological Engineer at URS Corporation, An AECOM Company, where they worked on various projects related to risk assessment and management.
