David Ribbens

David Ribbens has an extensive background in educationally-based athletics, currently serving as Interim Director of Athletics at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools since June 2024 and as Athletics Director and Mentor at Southern Teachers Agency since August 2023. Ribbens has also held various roles, including Interim Director of Athletics at Winchester Thurston School and Director of Athletics at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools from 2003 to 2023, overseeing a comprehensive athletic program. Previous experience includes coaching at Chicago Gaels Soccer Club and directing sports programs at Hallmark SportsClub/Chicago Magic SC. Ribbens spent 23 years at Trinity Christian College, culminating as an Assistant Professor of Physical Education. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Physical Education from Chicago State University and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Calvin University.
