Nathan Bessette

Nathan Bessette has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Nathan currently serves as the Vice President of Technical Services at Southface Institute, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to that, they were the Director of Technical Services at the same company from March 2022 to May 2023. Additionally, they worked as a Program Director from May 2021 to March 2022 and as a Senior Project Manager in the Technical Services department from April 2020 to May 2021.

Before joining Southface Institute, Nathan held key positions at EdgeDweller Inc. Nathan served as the Chief Operating Officer from January 2019 to April 2020, where they led company operations and managed teams to drive innovation and deliver client offerings. Nathan also served as the Vice President of Innovation Operations and Product Management from January 2015 to January 2019, overseeing the creation of innovations, rebuilding service offerings, and leading marketing efforts.

Prior to that, Nathan worked at Moog Space and Defense Group as a Special Project – Site Relocation Project Manager from January 2014 to January 2015. Nathan co-led the relocation of the business site and implemented Agile methodologies to streamline operations.

Nathan also worked at Moog Sensor & Surveillance Systems, where they held various roles. As a Product Manager from January 2013 to January 2015, they managed product development and improved margins. Nathan also served as a Product Outsource Manager from January 2011 to January 2013, driving the transition of product assembly to external vendors. In addition, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer from January 2010 to January 2011, overseeing the release of new products.

Nathan began their career at General Motors as a Vehicle Software and Controls Engineer/Mechanical Engineer Co-op from May 2007 to December 2008. Nathan contributed to the development and testing of vehicle stability systems.

Nathan also gained experience at Panasonic Automotive Systems as a Supplier Quality Engineer Intern, where they analyzed defect data and implemented continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defect rates.

Nathan also completed courses on software applications including Learning Confluence 2018, Learning Jira Software, and Planning and Releasing Software with JIRA. Additionally, they completed a course on modeling a bicycle frame with SOLIDWORKS through LinkedIn in March 2020.
