Daniel Gonzalez

Daniel Gonzalez has over two decades of work experience in various roles within the banking and logistics sectors. Daniel started their career in 1994 as an Assistant Manager and Retail Salesperson at Travel Country Outdoors. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as an Account Manager at Emery Worldwide, where they provided domestic and international logistic services. Starting in 2002, Daniel joined SunTrust Bank as a Portfolio Manager, participating in their Management Associate training program.

In 2005, they joined United Legacy Bank as a Vice President and Credit Administration Officer, supporting the commercial lending team. From 2012 to 2015, Daniel held the position of Vice President and Senior Credit Underwriter at Seacoast Bank, where they worked directly with commercial bankers to identify and underwrite loan opportunities. Daniel then transitioned to Carolina Premier Bank as a Senior Credit Officer, managing a team of credit analysts and providing underwriting support to account officers.

Since 2016, Daniel has been with SouthState Bank, first serving as Vice President and Business Express Credit Officer, supporting the bank's lending function. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President and Business Lending Credit Manager, overseeing a team of ten individuals and ensuring the bank's SLA's are met.

Throughout their career, Daniel has gained expertise in commercial credit administration, underwriting, portfolio management, and team leadership. Daniel has experience with various loan types, including C&I, CRE, and private banking.

Daniel Gonzalez attended Lake Howell High School from 1990 to 1994. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida from 1994 to 1998.
