Alison Steier has extensive experience in early childhood mental health, currently serving as the Director of the Harris Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Training Institute, as well as the Director of Smart Support, Arizona's early childhood mental health consultation system, and the Birth to Five Helpline/Fussy Baby Program at Southwest Human Development since May 2000. The Birth to Five Helpline is Arizona's unique toll-free resource for parents and professionals, while the Fussy Baby Program provides essential home visits for families facing challenges with infants. Alison's academic background includes a post-doctorate in Infant Mental Health from Tulane University School of Medicine and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University, complemented by fellowships at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and Harvard Medical School.
