Janet Sweet's work experience begins with their role as an Assistant Editor at SRA/McGraw-Hill in 2000. Janet then went on to become a Senior Editor at McGraw-Hill Children's Publishing from 2002 to 2005, where they focused on strategic planning and development of children's learning products.
After that, Janet worked as the Managing Editor of Retail Product Development at School Specialty Publishing from 2005 to 2008. In this role, they managed the life cycle of best-selling product lines for multiple retail channels.
Following their time at School Specialty Publishing, Janet joined Creative Learning Services as a Consultant in 2008. Janet then moved to Creative Teaching Press, where they were a Product Innovation Manager from 2008 to 2011. In this role, they focused on strategic planning, new market development, and the management of multi-media learning content and products.
From 2011 to 2013, Janet worked as a Content Developer at Southwestern Advantage, Pearson Learning, and Contentra Technologies. Their responsibilities included creating quality children's learning content and developing print and digital publishing strategies.
Janet's most recent role is with Southwestern Advantage, where they began as a Content and Curriculum Director in 2013 and currently holds the position of Director of Product Development. In these roles, they have been responsible for creating quality mobile, web, and print learning content for students in grades PreK-12, as well as leading all aspects of product development to support learning success and life skills for preschoolers through high-schoolers and their parents.
Janet Sweet has a BA degree in English and Education from Alma College. Janet also holds an MA degree in Education from Michigan State University.
