Leonda Levchuk

Leonda Levchuk is an experienced communications professional with a robust background in public affairs and strategic communications. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist at the Bureau of Indian Education since January 2018, Leonda develops and executes comprehensive communication plans to engage with Native American Tribal Nations and other stakeholders. In the role of Public Affairs Specialist for the Indian Health Service since September 2015, Leonda produces a variety of written materials, including press releases, speeches, and presentations for senior leadership. Leonda's prior experience as a Public Affairs Officer at the Smithsonian Institution involved coordinating high-profile media interviews and securing coverage across prominent national and international platforms. Leonda began a career in personnel management at IHS in 1995, providing a foundation for professional development in the field.
