Orly Ravid is the Associate Dean of the Biederman Entertainment & Media Law Institute and an Associate Professor of Law at Southwestern Law School. Orly is also an entertainment attorney, specializing in new media distribution.
Ravid began their career as a Judicial Law Clerk (Research Attorney) for the Los Angeles Superior Court, where they drafted legal memoranda for various civil litigation ruling orders. Orly then externed for Judge Palazuelos, researching and writing legal memoranda relating to motions and issues regarding the Jackson v. AEG trial and other morning calendar civil litigation matters.
In 2015, Ravid joined Early Sullivan Wright Gizer & McRae LLP as an attorney. There, they continued to work on entertainment transactions, mostly film and television development, production, licensing, and distribution.
In 2016, Ravid joined Southwestern Law School as an Associate Professor of Law. Orly is also the Associate Dean of the Biederman Entertainment & Media Law Institute.
Orly Ravid has a JD from Southwestern Law School and a BA in English with a Film Concentration from Columbia University. Orly is also certified from the State Bar of California in Admitted to practice law in California federal and state court.
