Rachele Lyon has a diverse range of work experience. Rachele is currently the Vice President of Administrative Services at Southwestern Oregon Community College since June 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the CHRO at the same institution from October 2018 to June 2023.
Additionally, Rachele worked as a Business Owner at RMS - HR Consulting since August 2013. Rachele also served as the HR Director at The Coquille Indian Tribe from May 2014 to October 2018, where they provided high-level support to the Executive Director and oversaw the Human Resources Department.
Earlier in their career, Rachele held positions at Southwestern Oregon Community College, including Part-Time Faculty in Business from April 2004 to June 2014 and Human Resources Director from February 2010 to May 2014.
Rachele also gained experience as the Benefit and Safety Manager at Mill Casino-Hotel from November 2002 to February 2010, where they were responsible for HR initiatives, benefit administration, and training.
Rachele's career began at Southwestern Oregon Community College as a Recruitment and Contract Specialist from 1997 to 2002. Rachele previously worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk at Engles Furniture and as a Bookkeeper at Mary's Pizza Shack.
Rachele Lyon obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Linfield University in the years 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration at Southwestern Oregon Community College from 1995 to 2000. In 1991 to 1993, Rachele earned another Associate of Science degree in Accounting from Heald College. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Upper Iowa University in the years 2002 to 2004. Additionally, in 2016, Rachele completed a program in Tribal Human Resources Professional specializing in Human Resources in Indian Country at the National Native American Human Resources Association.
