Elaine Nichols

Elaine Nichols, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare education. Elaine currently works as a partnership at Roanoke Higher Education Center. Prior to that, they served as the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Director at Sovah Health School of Health Professions. Additionally, they have worked as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Lynchburg School of PA Medicine. Elaine also held the position of Program Director at PVCC from 2011 to 2020. Before that, they worked as a Sonographer at MobilexUSA and as a Cardiovascular Sonographer at HCA.

Elaine Nichols, Ed.D. obtained their Doctor of Education - EdD degree in Business/Commerce, General from the University of Lynchburg in the years 2019 to 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Radiologic Technology/Science - Sonographer from Jefferson College of Health Sciences and a Masters of Science degree in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University. Elaine also holds several additional certifications related to research, teaching practices, and healthcare.
