Chris Prokopiak

Chris Prokopiak has extensive work experience in software engineering. Chris currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at Sovrn Holdings, Inc., where they have worked since March 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a Staff Engineer at the same company from January 2019 to March 2021 and as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2018 to December 2018.

Before joining Sovrn Holdings, Inc., Chris worked as a Software Engineer at NetApp SolidFire from August 2016 to May 2018. Chris also gained significant experience as a Software Engineer at Lexmark Enterprise Software from August 2011 to July 2016. During their time at Lexmark, Chris worked in the Solutions/Integrated Products business unit on the Back Office Integration team, where they contributed to the development of several Back Office solutions. Chris also briefly joined a different team within Integrated Products to help develop a new framework.

In addition to their experience in the technology industry, Chris started their own company, Liandri Designs, Inc., in 2007. As the President/Owner, they created websites for various clients.

Chris's early work experience includes a role as a Student Research Assistant at the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets. In this position, they performed data entry based on research mission results and later contributed to the redesign of real-time radar data collection software used by radar systems. Chris collaborated with a team of developers and electrical engineers to ensure the new design was compatible with different radar platforms and met the needs of scientists in the field during months-long deployments.

Chris Prokopiak has a diverse education background. Chris completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Kansas, graduating in 2009. Chris then pursued further education in business, earning an MBA from the University of Kansas's Graduate School of Business from 2009 to 2011, with a focus on International Business and Marketing. Additionally, in 2010, they spent a year at The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, where they pursued an MBA with a specialization in International Human Resources and Marketing.
