Karim Ezzat El Afany

Karim Ezzat El Afany is an experienced professional in pricing and financial analysis, currently serving as Manager for Pricing at S&P Global since August 2019, focusing on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and EMEA commodities. Key achievements include leading the ethanol and sugar pricing team, implementing significant price methodology changes, launching new pricing assessments aligned with energy transition strategies, and contributing analytical research in the biofuels sector. Prior to S&P Global, Karim held senior roles in equity analysis at Pharos Holding for Financial Investments and NAEEM Holding, where expertise in the chemicals, fertilizers, and broader sectors was developed. Karim also has experience in consumer market research from Insights by Kantar and holds an MSc in Economics from SOAS University of London and a BA in Economics and International Development from the University of Liverpool.
