Phil Murray

Phil Murray has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Phil began their career working a variety of jobs during high school and college, including positions in the restaurant industry, an engineering internship, and running their own web design business. Phil then worked in inside sales and accounting at an oil and lubricants distributor, as well as doing tax return preparation.

In 2000, Phil joined Hattaway-Baxter & affiliates as the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing various functions such as accounting, credit, information technology, and human resources. Phil also served as the de facto general manager for an acquired subsidiary. After leaving the company, they co-founded StrictlyTalent, a venture that lasted for one year.

In 2010, Phil joined Tutors with Computers as the Vice President of Finance, leading the finance and accounting department, as well as the procurement and logistics group. Phil later took on the role of Controller.

From 2012 to 2016, Phil served as the VP of Finance & Administration at Kimbia, a software company empowering nonprofits. Phil had responsibilities in finance, accounting, human resources, and general administration.

In 2016, Phil became the Chief Financial Officer at Camp Gladiator, a group fitness company. Over the years, they also took on additional responsibilities such as Chief Administrative Officer and oversaw field operations support, customer support, and strategic planning.

Starting in 2021, Phil also served as an Advisor to Reflex, providing guidance on financial structure, business strategy, compliance, and personnel matters.

Finally, in 2023, Phil joined milk + honey as the Chief Financial Officer, a collection of premium day spas and salons with its own line of organic skin and body care products.

Throughout their work experience, Phil has demonstrated strong financial and leadership skills, with a focus on strategy, compliance, and personnel management.

Phil Murray holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), with a Finance Emphasis, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Phil completed this degree between 2004 and 2006. Prior to that, Phil obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), with an emphasis on Operations Management, from the same university, graduating in 2000. In addition to their academic qualifications, Phil Murray is a Certified Public Accountant, a certification they received from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in April 2010.
